About This Course

The course is intended to provide effective insights to market intelligence and procurement managers that will allow them to make better informed decisions regarding sourcing, purchasing, and logistics for feedstocks and raw materials used for the production of ethylene and polyethylene.

The course provides sufficient and in-depth market intelligence information to determine and estimate the purchasing prices for a series of “main” and “secondary” raw materials. Specific insights include as well market price fundamentals, price volatility analysis, sourcing options, suppliers’ analysis, demand drivers, and logistics analysis that includes evaluating the origin and destination of the main and secondary products.

All the chemical products analyzed are put in the context of their respective value chains so that procurement managers can better define strategies when entering in new contract negotiations with their current and potential new suppliers.

Requirements

Basic knowledge about feedstocks and raw materials used in ethylene and polyethylene production. Some familiarity with these chemical products' value chains is helpful.
