About This Course

The purpose of this course is to provide a select group of technical and commercial staff within a corporation, a complementary element for training, competency enhancement and professional development. This particular course consists of a series of modules analyzing the use of chemicals and petroleum derivatives in a number of industrial segments. The course is conducted online using a web-visualization tool. Individuals can login to see the course anytime they want 24x7, from any location with an internet access, and with any device.

Industrial segments that are discussed during the course include: oil and gas; refinery products; automotive fluids; industrial solvents; and specialty chemicals, particularly CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers), the industrial sub-segment (plastics & resins, and paper & cardboard), life- sciences (pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and food & beverages), and HPC (home and personal care).

Analysis of each industrial segment include markets and products, value chains and players participating in the value chains, such as manufacturers and suppliers, distributors, competitors and clients.

Requirements

Basic knowledge about feedstocks and raw materials used in ethylene and polyethylene production. Some familiarity with these chemical products' value chains is helpful
